Bhopal: An Emergency Response Centre has been established in the state to tackle chemical disasters and to give technical guidance to industries, government organizations and other agencies. The Centre is being run by the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board.
The Emergency Response Center has been declared as the Nodal Agency by the State Government to provide information about the chemicals and to give guidance at the time of chemical disasters.
Along with keeping coordination with the State Disaster Group, the centre formed in the state keep constant touch with the Central Crisis Group Alert System and National register of Potentially Toxic Chemical. Technical Guidance is also being given by the centre to the government, semi-government organizations besides industrial organizations, educational institutions and citizens.-Window To News
