Urges allotment of Rs 700 crore in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Bhopal: State’s Urban Development and Housing Minister Jaivardhan Singh on Monday met Minister of State (Independent Charge) Hardeep Singh Puri in New Delhi and discussed departmental schemes implemented in the state. Singh demanded allotment of total Rs 712 crore in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).
Singh urged allotment of Rs 600 crore as first installment and second installment of Rs 112 crores for about one lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). He urged the release of the second installment of Rs 29 crore 51 lakhs of financial year 2018-19 under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihood Mission.
Singh urged for release of additional allotment of Rs 14 crore 32 lakh to complete the target of construction of 25 thousand 160 community and public toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission. Singh quoted revised cost of the public toilet as the reason behind the demand for additional allotment. He also apprised the Minister with the updated status of the urban development schemes.
