Dr. S.N. Subbarao at lecture series on 150th anniversary of Gandhi Ji
Bhopal: The renowned Gandhian Dr. S.N. Subbarao laid emphasis for imbibing thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi in practical life to make the concept of United India everlasting. He said that India can become leader of the world, if young generation takes firm decision for strengthening national unity. Dr. Subbarao expressed his views during the lecture on the subject ‘Aaj ke Samay mein Gandhi’ held at Environment Planning and Coordination Organisation (EPCO), Bhopal under the series of lectures organised on the occasion of 150th anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
Dr. Subbarao said that the strong nation like Soviet Union splits in many parts in the past. It has been always challenging to keep India united, in which people, who speak different languages and follow different religions live. He further mentioned that no power can damage the unity of India, if youth power works constantly by taking resolution of national unity. Dr. Subbarao mentioned that Almighty dwells in every heart and it is also necessary for each person to hold respect towards all religions. He also mentioned about the Sarva Dharma prayer of Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion. Dr. Subbarao stated that Mahatma Gandhi always kept people of different beliefs united through Sarva Dharma prayer.
Moreover, Dr. Subbarao urged youth to always remain wakeful towards the environment. He mentioned that clean environment helps in connecting with God. Several religious places of various religions of the country are situated near hills and rivers. There is a need to become active for environment conservation by taking resolution to protect trees and cleanliness of rivers.
The Principal Secretary Anupam Rajan of the Environment Department has informed that 3 orators have delivered lectures on the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi from October 2, 2018 till now including Dhruv Shukla, Udyan Vajpayee and Chinmay Mishra.
