Boosts villagers to prepare Master Plan
Bhopal: Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Kamleshwar Patel took part in special Gram Sabha organized on the occasion of Republic Day at Gram Panchayat Vishuni Tola of Sidhi district. He deliberated with villagers as regard to preparation of Master Plan for comprehensive development of the Gram Panchayat. Patel said that panchayats will be empowered under the Panchayati Raj Act. Speed of village development will be accelerated, he added.
Minister Patel mentioned that villagers have rights to determine the direction of village development. Villagers should prepare work plans as per the requirement of village and execute it effectively too. He urged the villagers that they should monitor the ongoing construction and development works of the gram panchayat. Along with this, they should initiate necessary action to ensure that all the eligible beneficiaries should derive benefits from the government’s public welfare schemes.
Minister Patel was informed by the villagers about the problem for not receiving pension as their bank accounts have been put on hold since the last seven months. Patel instructed sub division officer, Gopad Banas to apprise him within 3 days after resolving the problem. He also gave instructions for installation of transformer, which is not in place since last 4-5 months and instructed to redress the complaints of Jai Kisan Fasal Rin Maafi Yojana within the stipulated time.
