Cashless transaction of Rs 4.50 lakh crore through treasury in MP

Bhopal: About Rs 21 crore cashless transactions have been made after computerization of government treasury in Madhya Pradesh. Funds worth nearly Rs 4.50 lakh crores have been directly transferred in 2.27 crore accounts through this medium.
Payment of bills of 10,000 drawing disbursing officers related to 118 departments through 56 treasuries and 157 sub-treasuries in the state are being made online at present.
Government beneficiaries, employees, pensioners, contractors, labourers of forest department, anganwadi workers and assistants and students getting scholarships in the state are being given direct payments through the treasury into their accounts. Funds worth nearly Rs 93364 lakh crore have been directly transferred into accounts in 5.84 crore transactions till January 31 last year. All treasury e-payments in the state are being made with the help of electronic system. There is no possibility of any mistake in this system. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country where vendors and contractors have been linked with e-payments.-WTN
