World Wetlands Day observed in city

Bhopal: On the occasion of World Wetland Day, activities on wetland conservation are being conducted for 7 days by the Environmental Planning and Coordination Organisation (EPCO). In this series, wetland walk was undertaken from EPCO office to Shahpura Lake to generate public awareness towards conservation of wetlands. Officers beside common citizens took part in the walk. People present on the occasion reached Van Vihar National Park via Kaliasot dam. Information on Kaliasot dam and its water sources was given to them during the way. 

Moreover information about habitation and habits of birds and animals found in the park was given by the birds’ experts. Everyone was overwhelmed after reaching amid various kinds of birds. Furthermore, power point presentation on Bhoj Wetland was given at the park. Executive Director EPCO Anupam Rajan and Director National Park Atul Shrivastva watched the birds and the animals with enthusiasm.-WTN
