ITI, diploma students get placement in solar energy field

Bhopal: At least 30 students who passed I.T.I. and Diploma course were given free of cost residential training at CRISP by the Urja Vikas Nigam for skill development under the Suryamitra Skill Development programme in the field of Solar Energy. Placements were given in various solar energy companies and other industries to the trained students on January 26 in an effective initiative towards providing employment.
Under the Suryamitra Skill Development Programme, training is imparted about basic electrical, solar energy technique and establishing and commissioning. Along with this, practical training is imparted where solar energy power plant is set up. Urja Vikas Nigam, in the first phase, selects government I.T.I./Polytechnics/Technical institutes for training. So far 260 students from nine institutions have been trained in the state.-WTN
