Bhopal: Allotment of wheat under hostel scheme has begun on the initiative of Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection and Labour Minister Omprakash Dhurve.
This order was issued recently after amendments in the earlier order by the Consumer Cases, Food and Public Distribution Department of the Central Government.
The Central Government has allotted 2335 tonne wheat and 780 tonne rice for October2016 to March2017 under the State’s Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class Hostel Scheme. The Central Government had not made any allotment of wheat earlier.
Minister Dhurve had urged the Centre to continue wheat allotment to the student residing in the hostels keeping in mind the requirement of wheat for them. Principal Secretary Food KC Gupta said that with the receipt of allotment by the Central Food Department, all concerned have been issued instructions in this regard. Wheat as required for the hostel has been received.-WTN
