Donates 2 and half bigha land for Gou-Shala

Devliya says, it is happiest moment of life
Bhopal: “Today was the happiest day of our life when we decided to donate 2 and half bigha land of our share for Gou-Shala”. While saying this, a resident of Vidisha District, Saroj Govind Devliya gets emotional and says that this decision will facilitate shelter to homeless cow progeny at her village Ban Jagir. Devliya came to Bhopal to express gratitude towards the Chief Minister Kamal Nath, whose decision has paved a way for construction of Gou-Shalas for the homeless cattle in the state.
Devliya along with her husband Govind Devliya met the Chief Minister today and handed over donation documents of 2 and half bigha land for construction of Gou-Shala in their village Ban Jagir. The Chief Minister said that good results are obtained in government work by getting cooperation from the society. Ban Jagir is a village of Gulabganj tahsil of Vidisha district with population of one thousand approximately. This village is situated at a distance of 15 k.m. from the district headquarters and 12 k.m. from the tahsil headquarters. Devliya holds thirty bigha land of her share and at present wheat crop is standing on the land.
Devliya has donated this land in the memory of her Mother-in-Law, Late Shanti Devi. She says that this act will not only help in keeping memory of her mother alive but will provide shelter to the homeless cattle too.
The idea of donating land for Gou-Shala came to her mind, when Patwari visited her village on the instructions of the Collector to identify land for Gou-Shala. Govind talked to the patwari, got the land documents prepared and came with their decision to meet the Chief Minister in Bhopal.
Describing the decision of the Chief Minister as historic, Govind Devliya says that we always see homeless cattle on roads. People forcefully move them from one place to another. Their owners let them roam free. Gou-Shala will facilitate shelter to them now.
With astonishment Govind Devliya says that not a single government run Gou-Shala has been opened till today. When this matter came to the mind of the government, the decision has been taken so fast to open 1000 Gou-Shalas within the next few months. Saroj says that she wish to involve in the work of Gou-Shala even after the construction of Gou-Shala. The village Sarpanch, Omkar Giri also appreciated the Chief Minister and said that a big problem will be resolved by this act. Expressing gratitude towards the Devliya couple, Patwari Vishwakarma said that a major work is going to be completed soon.
