Approval to continue Free Boarding Education Scheme

Amount of Rs. 58.54 crore sanctioned for continuation of Vistaar Vaniki Yojana 

Bhopal: Cabinet meeting held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister Kamal Nath has taken a decision for continuation of Free Boarding Education Scheme under the Eklavya Polytechnic Yojana in three polytechnic colleges of Mandla, Jhabua and Harsud to give benefit of the scheme to the students of scheduled tribe. Under the scheme, free drawing, stationery, books, scholarship and meals will be provided to the students of scheduled tribe. Approval has been given to continue this scheme till 2019-20.

The cabinet has given approval for continuation of Vistaar Vaniki Yojana of the financial limit of Rs. 58 crore 54 lakh till 2019-20 being implemented by the Forest Department under the 12th Five Year Plan.

The Cabinet has approved Rs 2552 crore 90 lakh funding for three under construction/prevailing projects of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating / Transmission Company Limited and Madhya Pradesh Eastern / Central / Western Region Power Distribution Companies for the financial year 2018-19 and financial year 2019-20. These include approval of Rs. 510 crores for Shri Singaji Thermal Power House Project of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited, Jabalpur, Rs. 748 crores and 2 lakhs for the strengthening of transmission system of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited, Jabalpur and Rs 1294 crore and 88 lakhs for strengthening of sub-transmission and distribution system of Madhya Pradesh Eastern / Central / Western Region Power Distribution Company Ltd. Jabalpur / Bhopal / Indore.

The Cabinet decided to give the state government’s guarantee for a medium term loan of Rs 1200 crore by Madhya Pradesh Western Region Power Distribution Company Limited, Indore from R.I.C. New Delhi. The Madhya Pradesh Western Zone Power Distribution Company Limited, Indore will pay guarantee fee at the rate of 0.5 percent per annum for the guarantee.-Window To News
