Bhopal: Chief Minister Kamal Nath has taken serious note of the incident of molestation and harassment of inmates of a girls hostel in Jaora (Ratlam) recently and earlier also during the previous government. Nath has instructed for continuous monitoring and inspection of all the government and private girls hostels and reform homes. He said that such incidents have come to light in the past also. For this, strict action will be taken against all the accountable officers and those running the hostels and reform homes.
CM Nath said that similar barbaric incidents against deaf and dumb and destitute girls have surfaced in Bhopal and Gwalior earlier and recently in Jaora in Ratlam district. Government will act strongly in all such incidents and stern action will be taken against those found responsible. Nath directed that the carefree attitude of the girls hostels and other institutions run privately and by NGOs during the former government rule will be put to an end and the grants being given to them will be scrutinized carefully. He said that political intervention in the ashrams will be stopped. All such institutions will have to go through social audit. Girls residing in these hostels etc. will be communicated with regularly so that such barbaric incidents can be checked on time. He said that make-believe and on-paper inspections will not be tolerated. Immoral activities going on in these institutions will be checked.
CM Nath directed the concerned responsible officials to change their mentality and they should fulfil their responsibilities well. Strict action will be taken if such incidents recur.-Window To News
