CM Chouhan Participates in Maa Narmada’s Maha Aarti Along with Cabinet Members

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with his wife and members of the cabinet participated in Maa Narmada’s Maha Aarti in the evening. Chouhan presented gifts to 45 newly wedded couples at a group marriage ceremony held at Mundi and made announcement for deposit of Rs. 25 thousand in each wedded couples bank accounts as a gift.

CM Chouhan along with the cabinet members recited Narmadashtak in group. Dharmaguru and Member of Narmada Seva Samiti Swami Akhileshanand, Swami Shivoham Bharti of Namo Shivay Mission Trust Shiv Koti Omkareshwar and Mahamandaleshwar Dadu Maharaj of Gajasin Shani Mandir-Indore were present on the occasion.

Moreover, Chouhan performed kanya poojan of 9 girls before Narmada Aarti. He administered pledge to the devotees to undertake fruit plantation, to make Beti Bachao campaign successful, to send children to schools, not to immerse poojan material in river, not to perform last funeral rites on banks of river Narmada, not to dispose off polythene and other material in Narmada to prevent pollution and not to perform deepdaan in Narmada with plastic deeps.

Among those present on the occasion included Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargava, Forest Minister Gaurishankar Shejwar, Finance Minister Jayant Malaiyya, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Archana Chitnis, Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Gaurishankar Bisen, Animal Husbandary Minister Antar Singh Arya, Higher Education Minister Jaibhan Singh Pawaiyya, Labour Minister Omprakash Dhurve, Industry Minister Rajendra Shukla, School Education Minister Kunwar Dr. Vijay Shah, Revenue Minister Umashankar Gupta, Public Works Minister Rampal Singh, State Minister for Tourism Surendra Patwa, State Minister for General Administration Lal Singh Arya, State Minister for Technical Education Deepak Joshi, Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Tapan Bhoumik, Chief Secretary B.P.
