Bhajan Mandlis Give Message of Narmada Conservation through Bhajans at Barman

Bhajan Mandlis Honoured in District Level Competition 

Bhopal: A district level Bhajan Competition was held at Barmankhurd of Narsinghpur district during ‘Namami Devi Narmade’–Seva Yatra on Narmada Jayanti. Bhajan mandlis presented bhajans giving messages of collective efforts for Narmada River conservation. Also religious, social, economic and spiritual importance of Narmada in people’s life was told through bhajans.
 
Message to protect Narmada River from pollution was given by the Bhajan Mandlis. In place of offering Chunris to River Narmada, a green chunri by undertaking plantation on the banks of Narmada River should be offered. Moreover Bhajans focused on subjects like sanitation on Narmada banks, to perform deepdaan in leaves Donas (Bowls) instead of plastic, river conservation and revival, fruit plantation, organic farming, to make Narmada pollution free, not to dispose of poojan material and sewage in Narmada, importance of Maa Narmada and to quit open defecation were presented in Narmada Bhajan competition. A large number of devotees present on the occasion enjoyed the bhajan presentations.
Bhajan presentation was given by 10 Bhajan Mandlis of the district at mela site of Barmankhurd in District Level Narmada Bhajan Competition. District Panchayat President Sandeep Patel and Former Vice Chairman APEX Bank Kailash Soni honoured the first three winner Bhajan mandlis with mementos, citation letters and a cash reward. The first place was bagged by Maa Sharda Devi Jagran Group Narsinghpur followed by Sankirtan Samaj Narsinghpur and Maa Narmada Sangeet Lok Kala Dal- Narsinghpur. A cash reward of Rs. 50 thousand to the first, Rs. 30 thousand to second and Rs. 20 thousand was presented to the bhajan mandli which stood third in the competition.

Maha Aarti on Narmada Jayanti

Maha Aarti was performed on Narmada Jayanti at the mela site before the end of Barman Mela Samaroh.

Performed Deepdaan in leaves bowls

A large gathering of devotees performed deepdaan in leaves bowls at Barman on Narmada Jayanti. Day by day increasing awareness among the devotees towards Narmada River conservation was praiseworthy.-WTN
