CM Chouhan Leads Narmada Kalash at Shiv Nagri Omkareshwar

Bhopal: Rath in the front reciting ‘Twadiya Paad Pankajam, Namami Devi Narmade’ followed by women holding kalashs, devotees dancing merrily on the beats of drums and than Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with his wife holding Narmada Kalash and Flag, Ministers, MLAs, Public Representatives, Social Activists and a large number of public. This was the panoramic view of ‘Namami Devi Narmade’-Seva Yatra set out from village Koti of Khandwa district for Shiv Nagri Omkareshwar. Yatra was welcomed by showering flowers by the people standing on both sides of the road.

This unique scene was reflecting that Maa Narmada itself is flowing in the yatra. Minister for Forest Dr. Gourishankar Shejwar, Minister for Women and Child Development Smt. Archana Chitnis, Minister of State for Technical Education Deepak Joshi, MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, MLAs, Sah-Sarkaryavah of Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh Suresh Soni walked in the yatra holding kalash and flag turn by turn.

Transgender Rubi Also participates holding Kalash

Transgender Rubi of Jhiranya also walked with the yatra holding Narmada Kalash accompanied by transgenders Nargis Mousi and Santo.

Handicapped Rohit Came from Ujjain

Yatra’s impact and glory are pervading the entire state. Sixteen years old, a handicapped teenager Rohit Bairagi came from Ujjain to participate in yatra. He said that even though Narmada River do not passes through our city but we all want to become participant in this pious work.

Swami Avdheshanand Giri Welcomes Yatra

On reaching Omkareshwar, yatra was welcomed by Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj. Sadhu-Sants, students, women and elders also participated with enthusiasm in the yatra. Chief Minister Chouhan was welcomed with garlands and shawl-shreephal from place to place.

Everyone was Eager for Selfie

Most of the people in yatra were eager to take selfie with CM Chouhan and Narmada Kalash. Moreover, every person was eager for a glimpse of Narmada Kalash.-WTN
