Bhopal: Process is continuing to provide better facilities in Hamidia and Kamla Nehru Hospitals. Works were reviewed by principal secretary, health, Smt Gauri Singh today. In the meeting, Smt Singh said that the facilities which were improved should continue. Officers posted in Gandhi Medical College should make constant efforts for better facilities. The government has availed funds. Necessary equipment are being purchased for Hamidia Hospital by Rs four crore. Virology lab would be set up by spending Rs 25 crore in Gandhi Medical College.
It was informed that sample collection centres are being made for blood samples and other pathological investigations so that patients need to go here and there.
Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) will start its functioning soon. Around 269 medicines to be used in different treatment are available in store in hospital. One counter has been opened for availability of medicines in case of emergency. Medicine will be available round the clock at this counter. Two more operation theatres have been opened. Continuity of the facilities has been ensured.
Divisional commissioner Ajatshatru Shrivastava informed that trauma centre has been started in the hospital. Twenty four hours availability of doctors has been ensured. Doctors of orthopedic, surgery and medicine departments are available there. New beds, bed-sheets etc. have been purchased for the hospital. Better system for cleanliness has been made and it will continue. Ultra sonography machine will start in a week in trauma centre. X-ray facility will be available at patient's bed.
Commissioner, Medical Education, Manish Rastogi, collector, Nishant Warwade, dean of medical college and officers of public works department and other departments were present in the meeting.-WTN
