Zero Budget Farming
The concept of zero budget farming is based on cow. Natural farming can be done in 30 acres of land with one vedic cow (Desi Cow). Cost of main crop can be obtained from the sale of auxiliary crops and the main crop can be taken as bonus.
Moreover, farmers are not required to purchase any inputs like seeds, fertlisers and pesticides etc. to make market cost zero and to produce these items at home or at the farm itself is the concept of natural farming. This farming will facilitate farmers not to obtain loan from the market as they are not required to purchase anything from the market. The concept of zero budget farming is based on vedic cow, earthworms, bijamrit, jivamrit and ghanjivamrit (bacteria based dry fertilizer) etc.
Subhash Palekar is working continuously in this direction.
As many as 50 lakh farmers have adopted zero budget farming in the country. Moreover, farmers of other countries have also adopted this technique in the agriculture. Furthermore, loss to the crops can be controlled and diseases like cancer, diabetes and heart attack can be prevented by the zero budget farming.-WTN
