Energy Minister Paras Jain Inaugurates e-rickshaw

Bhopal: Energy Minister Paras Jain inaugurated the e-rickshaw (Shakti Auto) at his Char Imli residence today. He himself drove the battery-run e-rickshaw at Char-Imli region and started it off. The e-rickshaws (Shakti auto) will be run by M.K. Motors.

Jain said that the e-rickshaw is the best alternative to control pollution. As per the road expansion by the state government, the e-rickshaws will prove to be useful in the urban and rural areas. The rickshaw is equally appropriate for loading goods apart from carrying people.

He said that the state government has granted 20 per cent subsidy and sales tax discount on it. Praising the e-rickshaw, Jain said that it was a good alternative. Jain symbolically entrusted the keys of an e-rickshaw to a beneficiary. The estimated cost of the e-rickshaw is nearly one and a half lakh.-WTN
