Yatris Were Accorded Warm Welcome on Entering Badwani District

Narmada Seva Yatra Enters with 'Narmade Har' Acclamation  

Bhopal: Devotees of 'Namami Devi Narmade'- Seva Yatra were accorded warm welcome at village Karamatpura on entering Badwani district on Monday. Yatris were welcomed with songs and beating drums on reaching village Karamatpura of Badwani district from village Bhoinda of district Khargone. Villagers, public representatives and officers performed pooja of Narmada seva yatra's kalash and flag on the occasion.

MP Subhash Patel, Vice President Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Pradeep Pandey, Chairman SC-ST Commission Bhupendra Arya, President SC-ST State Front Gajendra Patel, Om Khandelwal, Former MLAs Devisingh Patel, Premsingh Patel, Collector Tejaswi S. Nayak and Police Superintendent Prashant Khare were present.

Villagers Accorded Welcome by Lighting Lamps

Yatra begun from Karamatpura reached Nandgaon in the evening passing Kapaliya Khedi was accorded welcome by the villagers by lighting lamps and rangolis made in front of the houses. Women reciting songs, showering flowers and putting tilaks welcomed the yatris. Villagers serving sugar cane juice and tea to the yatris in mitti Kulhads (Pot of Soil) expressed their positive approach towards the yatra. Moreover, yatra was welcomed with enthusiasm on entering village Karamatpura, Kapaliyakhedi, Nandgaon and Brahamangaon of Badwani district by Gayatri Parivar, women of livelihood mission and villagers.
Yatris covering a long distance of 10 k.m. reached for night halt at Brahamangaon after entering village Karamatpura of Badwani district. Sabha was held in the school campus at village Brahamangaon. Information on the objectives of yatra was given to the villagers on the occasion. Villagers were apprised to free Narmada river from pollution, to make Narmada flow incessant and to undertake fruit plantation in one k.m. strip along the Narmada river. Collector Tejaswi S. Nayak administered pledge to the villagers not to pollute Narmada river.-WTN
