Seva Yatra Moves Ahead with Objective of Water Conservation

First Phase of Seva Yatra completed in Khargone District
Bhopal: 'Namami Devi Narmade' –Seva Yatra entered district Badwani from district Khargone carrying objectives of Narmada River and environment conservation on Monday. After taking night halt at village Balgaon, yatra proceeded for its next destination in the morning. Enthusiasm and passion were witnessed in every village which was seen at Aalibujurg during the entry in the district. After Balgaon, seva yatra entered Karamatpura passing by Pe Khal Bujurg, Nimrani, Chichli, Magarkhedi, Satrati, Jaroli, Kathora and Bhionda. Yatra in charge Bhupendra Arya, MP Subhash Patel, Former MLAs Atmaram Patel, Babulal Mahajan, Vice President Jan Abhiyan Parishad Pradeep Pandey and Coordinator of Jan Abhiyan Parishad Jagdish Patel were present in the yatra.
Plantation Undertaken in Vilages
Plantation was undertaken in every village covered by the yatra on Monday. Saplings of fruits and umbrageous plants were planted during the plantation. Not only public representatives and officers participated but an extreme enthusiasm was seen among the villagers towards the plantation.
'Namami Devi Narmade' Reverberated village
Immense enthusiasm was seen at villages wherever seva yatra reached on Monday. It seems like festival or marriage festivities were taking place. Girls of the villages were joyous to participate in the kalash yatra. Roads with flowers and houses with rangolis were decorated to welcome the yatra. Every village was raising ' Namami Devi Narmade' acclamation.
Aims of Seva Yatra
Public awareness towards conservation of Narmada river and proper utilisation of available resources is one of the main aim of the yatra. Also plentiful plantation on the banks of river Narmada and to prevent soil erosion besides making environment friendly society and to encourage farmers to adopt organic farming are the objectives of yatra. Yatra has been started to inform people to identify reasons for water pollution and solutions for its prevention. In addition to this an initiative to make areas on the banks of Narmada river addiction free has been taken in the yatra.

Seva Yatra will Re-enter Khargone District on March 4
Yatra will re-enter Khargone district from district Dhar on March 4. Seva yatra will enter North bank Badwi on March 4 and will be continued in the district till March 7. After taking night halt at Navghatkhedi, seva yatra will enter Dewas district on March 8 at 8.00 p.m.Contacts for Seva Yatra
