Governor Om Prakash Kohli to Inaugurate GIS Portal, Mobile App
Bhopal: The Foundation Day ceremony of the State Election Commission will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Governor Omprakash Kohli will dedicate the inscription
'Parivartanon evam Kirtimanon ki Shrankhala' and will inaugurate the GIS portal and mobile app during the ceremony. Kohli will also give away prizes to the winners of the debate contest and officials for outstanding work in making photo voters-list.
State Election Commissioner R. Parshuram said that former State Election Commissioners N.B. Lohani, G.S. Shukla, A.V. Singh and Ajit Raizada will also express their views during the programme.
In the second session of the ceremony at 2.30 p.m., a panel discussion on 'Emerging challenges of governance at Panchayat and Nagar Palika elections and ground level'. Former State Election Commissioner N.B. Lohani, former Chief Information Commissioner Satyanand Mishra, Editor of India Today Anshuman Tiwari, National Judicial Academy Prof. Dr. Gita Oberoi and other journalists were also present on the occasion.
A feedback and learning session will be held on the second day (February 16) from 10.30 a.m. Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority Antony de Sa will preside over the session.-WTN
