Late Johanlal Namdev Awarded Posthumously for Planting 1550 Plants

Two Day CCF's Convention Concluded
 

Bhopal: In compliance to the directives of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest Dr. Animesh Shukla has awarded Late Johanlal Namdev of Shahdol posthumously for excellent works in the field of plantation. Late Namdev planting different varieties of 1550 saplings in the public places and raised them into trees by carrying water on shoulders in summer seasons. Wife of late Namdev, Smt. Indravati was honoured with citation letter and shield in the Two Day Convention of Chief Conservators of Forest held at Bhopal.

CM Chouhan instructed the officials during his visit to Shahdol to invite the family of Late Namdev to Bhopal to honour them.

Future strategy has been prepared deliberarting on various schemes, implementation of programmes and various difficulties in the convention.

It is informed in the convention that All India Wild Life assessment will be made in the year 2017-18. For this, training will be imparted to forest employees soon dividing the state into seven blocks. Also decision to strengthen STF formed under the forest department was taken keeping in view the organised wild life crimes investigation and arrest of criminals by the STF. Moreover, special focus will be laid on capacity development to develop eco-tourism.

Joint Review of Deendayal Vananchal Seva

Works being carried out under the Deendayal Vanachal Seva were reviewed in presence of Principal Secretary Health Smt. Gouri Singh and Principal Secretary Women and Child Development J.N. Kansotiya during the convention. A total of 8500 forest employees have been imparted training in 274 trianing camps so far.

Similarly around 37 thousand forest employees have been benefitted under the 401 health camps. Forest department will render support to the concerned departments in activities like I.M.R., vaccination, erdication of malnutrition, children's admission in schools, regular health checkup of pregnant women and in building poshan –vatika by identifying villages in remote forest areas. Pushpalata Singh, Mission Director Rajiv Gandhi Education Mission Smt. Deepti Gour Mukherjee and Director Health Dr. K.L. Sahu were also present on the occasion.

Variety of Saplings on the Verge of Extinction will be Prepared

It is informed in the convention that efforts will be made to increase the numbers of plants by preparing saplings of 25 plants which are on the verge of extinction. Active participation of forest societies will be ensured in departmental plantation works. Moreover, 70 e-processing centers will be made more useful to expand the people's oriented activities. Infrastructure works being undertaken by Minor Forest Produce Federation will be expanded in reserved areas and in the areas of Forest
Development Corporation.

Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wild Life) Jitendra Agarwal, Managing Director Forest Development Corporation Ravi Shrivastava, Managing Director State Minor Forest Produce Federation Jawwad Hasan, Chief Conservators of Forest came from circles and Senior Officers were present in the convention.
