Bhopal: Third party insurance of vehicles is mandatory for the vehicle owners. In compliance to the directions of Supreme Court, a campaign will be conducted to check third party insurance during the traffic checking. Vehicles insurance will increase and this will facilitate injured persons to get insurance amount. This was said during the meeting of Madhya Pradesh State Road Safety Implementation Committee held under the Chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Home K.K. Singh.
Singh directed the concerned officials for preparing an action plan to rectify 463 black spots. He also told the concerned districts to issue directives regarding action to rectify black spots. Moreover Singh instructed the officials for imparting training to the engineers of the concerned departments. He said that training calendar for New Year should be made immediately. It is informed that 30 trauma care centers are functioning and two will be made functional soon. Moreover it is informed that 20 officers of urban body have been given responsibility to rectify black spots. These officers after inspecting will undertake work to rectify black spots through sign boards etc.
Principal Secretary Transport S.N. Mishra, Principal Secretary Commecial Taxes Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Smt. Nilam Shami Rao, Commissioner Transport Shailendra Shrivastava, Additional DGP Vijay Kataria, Secretary Home D.P. Gupta, Secretary Public Works Chandraprakash Agarwal and Officers of concerned departments were present in the meeting.-WTN
