Division Level Review of Preparations of Wheat Procurement in State

Work-plan and Time Limit of Procurement Decided
Bhopal: Preparations of wheat procurement in the State will be reviewed at division level for the year 2017-18. Dates have been fixed for the same. Discussion during the review meeting will focus on farmers' registration, their verification status, tehsilwise wheat productivity and important arrangements at the purchase centres. Wheat storage and mapping of godowns and purchase centres will also be reviewed. Specific discussion will also be held on the transport arrangements during purchase and status of credit limit approval.
District Collectors, Food Corporation of India officials posted in the districts, Food, Cooperatives, Weights and Measures, Markfed, Madhya Pradesh Warehousing Corporation and District Cooperative Central Bank officials will attend the meeting.
The division-level meeting will be held at Sagar on February 25 and at Jabalpur on February 28. Rewa and Shahdol division meeting will be held at Satna on March 1, Chambal division meeting at Gwalior on March 4, at Indore on March 7, Ujjain on March 8, Bhopal on March 15 and Narmadapuram division meeting will be held on March 16 at Hoshangabad.-WTN
