Revenue Minister Gupta Participates in Seva Yatra in Badwani District

Bhopal: Minister for Revenue, Science and Technology Umashankar Gupta participated in 'Namami Devi Narmade'-Seva Yatra on 69th day of yatra in Badwani district. Gupta reached village Pipri on Friday morning and after performing pooja archana of Narmada kalash and flag joined yatra accompanied by several seva yatris. Moreover Gupta accompanied by local representatives, administrative officers, seva yatris administered pledge to the devotees at Pipri and Bagud villages for their cooperation towards Narmada river conservation, to undertake plantation to conserve environment and de-addiction. Yatris, Narmada kalash and flag were accorded remarkable welcome in villages. Villagers offering sugarcane and other fruits juice produced locally welcomed the yatris. Minister Gupta said that a dense fruit plantation will be carried out in one k.m. strip of these villages situated on the bank of River Narmada and Badwani district will be known among the future generation as horticulture district. On one hand farmers will become prosper on the other water, forest and land on the banks of Maa Narmada will be conserved. During the seva yatra, Gupta together with plantation guests and yatris undertook fruits plantation on the land of farmers beside Narmada Parikarma Path and at village Pipri. He planted guava and coconut saplings on the occasion. Chairman State Women Commission Smt. Lata Vankhede and Member Smt. Surya Chouhan also took part in Narmada Seva yatra at village Bagud on Friday. MP Subhash Patel, Vice President Jan Abhiyan Parishad Ranchhod Patel and villagers in large number participated in the yatra.-WTN
