Teachers Must Use Their Skills to Enthuse Children

Union Human Resources Secretary Swaroop Inspects Govt. School 

Bhopal: Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Union  Ministry of Human Resource Development Anil Swaroop took part in the 'Mil-Banche' programme at Government Middle School situated in MANIT premises in Bhopal today. He told the teachers to make cent percent use of their skills to generate enthusiasm in children. The Union Secretary said that the enthusiasm in children is very useful to make them sensible.

Union Secretary Anil Swaroop inspected the school also. He also saw the smart class. Swaroop said that every teacher should know how to run a smart class. He praised the works done in the government school through public participation. The Union Secretary also spoke to the teachers.
Union Secretary narrates stories to children

Union Secretary Anil Swaroop narrated the story of the clever monkey. He said that a lion would kill many animals in the jungle to satisfy his hunger. The animals collectively spoke to the lion and said to him that they would send one animal every day to him. One day it was the turn of a monkey to go to the lion. The monkey went to the lion and said that another lion had entered the jungle. The lion asked him to show him where the other lion was. The monkey took the lion close to a well and asked him to look down into it. The lion saw his own reflection in the water and thinking it was the other lion the monkey had been talking about, he jumped into the well in an attempt to attack the other lion. The Union Secretary asked the children to tell what lesson they had learnt from the story and asked them related questions. The children gave correct answers. The Union Secretary said that the biggest problems can be solved through intelligence and right discretion. He said that anger only posed problems. He advised the children to control their anger. Rajya Shiksha Kendra Additional Director Ms Sheila Dahima and teachers sang patriotic songs.

Principal Smt. Alka Sharma said that 235 children were studying in Class I to VIII. Children are being made to do activities like poster, model making etc. for general information under Shala Siddhi programme. He also gave information about the mid-day meal arrangement. A tree plantation programme was organized in the school with the cooperation of children. Swings were installed in the school for the entertainment of the children.-WTN
