Minister Malayya Inaugurates Solar Light Poles in 9 Villages

No Shortage of Electricity, Upto 17 Thousand Megawatt Electricity Provided in State
Bhopal: Minister for Finance Jayant Malayya said that sufficient electricity is available and upto 17 thousand megawatt electricity was generated at the time of requirement in the state. He mentioned that 4300 megawatt electricity was used to be generated in the state 12 years ago. Malayya was addressing the programme after the inauguration of 61 solar light poles installed in 9 villages including Rajghat Pipariya of district Damoh today. MLA Lakhan Patel was present on the occasion.
Lauding the work of Power Grid Corporation, Malayya said that the corporation has shouldered its social responsibility remarkably. The corporation has provided 500 beds to tribal students' hostel, ambulance to Hata hospital and conducted medical check up camps. He mentioned that 1800 houses will be constructed within a year in Samanna of the district. An amount of Rs. 5 lakh 50 thousand is being provided to poor to construct house. This amount comprises Rs. 3 lakh subsidy.
Beneficiaries are required to pay only Rs. 20 thousand from Rs. 2 lakh 50 thousand and they are required to pay balance amount in 15 years installments. Malayya further said that every person of the district will have own house till 2022.
Performed Bhoomi Poojan of Residential Unit
Finance Minister Malayya performed bhoomi poojan of 1884 residential units costing around Rs. 139 crore in Damoh. He mentioned that 5000 houses will be built in selected areas. All the basic facilities will be provided here. President Municipality Damoh Smt. Asati informed that 8684 house less families have been identified after the survey and 1356 persons have been selected till today.-WTN
