CM Chouhan Blessed and Presented Gifts to 1151 Newly Married Couples in Badwani District

Poor Families do not take Loan Now for Marriage of their Daughters
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Nikah Yojna is proved successful to eliminate social evils and to solemnise marriages of daughters of poor families. Chouhan was addressing the Group Marriage Function and dedication programme of developemnt works at Sendhwa of Badwani district today. He gave blessings to 1151 newly wedded couples and dedicated development works costing Rs. 29 crore 13 lakh on the occasion.
CM Chouhan said that Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Nikah yojna has been appreciated in the entire country and it has been adopted by other states. This proved the worthiness and significance of the scheme. He mentioned that poor families do not take loan now for marriages of their daughters.

Chouhan dedicated Civil Hospital building worth Rs. 5 crore, Government Polytechnic College building costing Rs. 7 crore 87 lakh, administrative building of Sendhwa Municipality costing Rs. 2 crore, 30 bed Varla Hospital building built at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 8 lakh and Sub Health Centres of Umarti, Pajriya, Vinayiki, Kalikundi, Dhamariya and Dhawda built at cost of Rs. 20 lakh each. Moreover Chouhan dedicated Pisnaval Barrage worth Rs. 4 crore 7 lakh Naktirani Barrage costing Rs. 3 crore 91 lakh and Thigli Barrage built at a cost of Rs. 3 crore 81 lakh. This Barrage will facilitate irrigation on 790 hectare land of this area. Furthermore Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan of 132/33 k.v.a elctricity sub-center to be built at Shahpura.

MP and State President B.J.P. Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, Minister for Animal Husbandry Antarsingh Arya, Chairman M.P. Housing and Infrastructure Development Board Krishna Murari Moghe, MP Subhash Patel and MLA Diwan singh were present in the programme.-WTN
