Commissioner Archeology Anupam Rajan in Workshop of District Archeology Organisations
Bhopal: Commissioner Archeology Anupam Rajan said that active cooperation of local historians and persons interested in archeology should be taken for conservation of archeological heritage. He was speaking in a one day workshop of District
Archeology Organisations held in State Museum situated at Shyamla Hills today.
Rajan informed that organisations are registered under the chairmanship of district collectors in 38 districts. In the remaining districts, archeology organisations will be formed on the basis of priority. Useful suggestions in context to problems being faced in districts during collection and conservation of archeological material were given by the representatives of archeology organisations.
It may be mentioned that the workshop was held to make archeology organisations formed under the district collectors more active and to fix the active participation of organisations in conservation of archeological heritage.-WTN
