Over 3 lakh State Consumers Join Samadhan Yojana

Bhopal: So far 3 lakh 32 thousand 135 consumers have been benefited from the Bakaya Rashi Samadhan Yojana by the Poorv, Madhya and Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company of the state. This includes 2 lakh 47 thousand 484 below poverty line and 8 thousand 735 low tension domestic consumers living in urban area slums. On the other hand, there are 75 thousand 916 other low tension general domestic consumers in the second category. So far total Rs 103 crore 45 lakh 45 thousand has been obtained from consumers included in the scheme. As per conditions in the scheme, a discount of Rs 58 crore 22 lakh 18 thousand and a surcharge of Rs 21 crore 68 lakh 56 thousand has been waived for the consumers.

One lakh 84 thousand 907 consumers have been benefited under the scheme in Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa regions of the Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company.
Thirty-five thousand 974 consumers of Bhopal and Gwalior region of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company have been benefited.

One lakh 11 thousand 254 consumers have been benefited under the scheme in Indore and Ujjain region of Pashchim Kshetra Company.-WTN
