Minister Pawayya at Gitanjali College's Programme

Permission to those Pvt. Universities only which Provide Employment Oriented Education with Innovations

Bhopal: Minister for Higher Education Jaibhan Singh Pawayya said that permission for establihment of private universities will be given to those institutions which will bring innovative schemes as regard to employment oriented education.
There is no much scope for traditional courses is left now in this competitive era. Pawayya said this in a programme held at Government Gitanjali Girls Autonomous College, Bhopal.
 
Emphasising on need for transparency and refurbishment as per the present era in higher education sector, Pawayya said that permission cannot be given to the private universities only on the basis of investment. Permission will only be considered if good organisations come with innovations and employment focussing courses.

Moreover, Pawwaya said that children need additional time for other activities beside academic courses for complete development and personality building. This is not possible with semester system. Due to this system students get degree of 3 years in 4-5 years. He mentioned that moral education is being made mandatory in the courses. He told the students to maintain 75 percent presence with self inspiration.

Pawayya mentioned that students must have devotion towards Bharat Mata and responsibilty towards the society. He said that students' union elections will be conducted from next academic session. He told the students that a person who cherishes big dream can achieve feat in the life. Talented person can lead on the basis of self confidence. He further mentioned that one should not let inferiority complex to dominate life. Discipline develops the personality, he added.

Pawayya assured the students for conducting music and dance courses demanded by the students. Additional Director Higher Education Dr. Sudha Baisa said that number of students is increasing constantly in colleges. This is the result of 'Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao' campaign. Principal Dr. Manjula Sharma read the annual report of the college.

Former Chairman of Public participation committee of the college Ramesh Sharma 'Guttu Bhaiyya' and Prof. Naseem Siddiqui were present in the programme. Guests were welcomed with Tulsi plants. Vote of thanks was given by Prof. Asha Kiran Gour.

Minister for Higher Education Pawayya honoured to the students who secured position in the merit list and for displaying excellnece in other activities with Dr. Shankardayal Sharma medals and awards including Smt. Rajeshwari Dhakad, Deepa Keer, Babita Agarwal, Afreen Baig, Priyanka Agarwal, Rajni Ahirwar, Manisha Gaur and Priyanka Singh. Ramji Gupta awards were honoured to Smt. Pooja Mishra and Sapna Parmar. Consolation prizes were given to Smt.Archana Shrivastva in cultural activities. Best Orator award to Smt. Sakina Saifi, Best Social Activist award to Smt. Devika Dubey and Best Student award was given to Smt. Anushka Shrivastava.
Moreover scholarships to 8 gas victim students as financial assistance were given from the interest amount of Rs. One lakh including Smt. Manisha Vishwakarma, Priti Rawat, Yusra Waseem, Rahat Abbas, Priyanka Sharma, Gulfashan Khan, Richa Bhadoria and Kanchan Pathak.-WTN
