PR Minister Dr. Mishra and Health Minister Rustam Singh inaugurate 100-bed new Maternity Ward 
Union secretary appreciate efforts of Madhya Pradesh 

Bhopal: Efforts for reducing mother mortality rate would certainly bring results after 100-bed new maternity ward being added in Jaiprakash Hospital in the state capital. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Rustam Singh said this in a function, attended by Public Relations and water resources minister Dr Narottam Mishra, for inauguration of new maternity ward. Singh said that maternal-infant mortality rate has reduced after intensive efforts but it has to be brought below the national average.

 Singh said that started with 90 beds in 1962, the hospital has now 550 beds. Singh said that JP Hospital is an ideal government hospital, where minimum seven lakh patients visit OPD every year. He said that government will extend every possible help to new materinity ward for its success. The ministers inspected newly constructed building.

Centre adopted innovations of Madhya Pradesh
Appreciating innovations of Madhya Pradesh, Secretary of Union Public Health and family Welfare Department C. K. Mishra said that the state's many innovations have been adopted at national level. Mishra said that many unique works were done in JP Hospital. Here qualitative improvement has been done every year. The centre government will provide every possible assistance for reducing maternal-infant mortality rate. Principal secretary, public health and family welfare department Smt. Gauri Singh, commissioner Smt. Pallavi Jain Govil, Mission Director V. Kiran Gopal, collector Nishant Warwade, director and doctors were present. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Veena Sinha proposed the vote of thanks.-WTN
