Community Claims of Forest Areas to be Examined

Chief Minister Takes Part in Ekta Parishad Training Programme 

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the community claims of forest Areas will be examined. State government does not want any eligible beneficiary to remain deprived of the benefits of the government schemes.

Gramoday Abhiyan will be organised from April 14 to May 31. The campaihgn aims at benefitting each and every villager. He said the Forest Rights pattas have been given to 2.32 lakh families. The claims will be re-examined so as to ensure that no beneficiary is denied the benefits. Chouhan was addressing the training programme of Ekta Parishad at Gandhi Bhavan premises today.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state is probably the first state where all have residential land. Multi-storeyed buildings will be made available for residential purpose taking into account the less land availability in urban areas. He said that pattas have been given to people who have been staying at the same place for long. More than five lakh people have been benefitted in the last one year. This work will continue till all do not get pattas. In this connection a law will also be brought in the Vidhan Sabha session. He said that decision to grant representation to voluntary organisations in the Land-Rights Commission will be considered. He laid stress on the right to land besides importance of education. He gave information about the scheme for payment of fees for higher education to brilliant students by the government. He said that houses will be made available to five lakh families this year.

Coordinator Ekta Parishad O.Rajagopal extended his congratulations on the formation of the Lok Seva Guarantee Kanoon, Land Commission and Happiness Department. It was informed at the meeting that heads of Parishads of 20 districts are taking part in the training programme.-WTN
