Prof. Dilip Chakrawaty to be Conferred with Dr. Vishnu Shridhar National Honour

Award Function to be Held at State Museum on February 25
Bhopal: Renowned Litterateur and Archeologist Prof. Dilip Chakrawarty will be conferred with Dr. Vishnu Shridhar Vakankar National Honour. He will be honoured with award in a programme to be held at 4.00 p.m. in auditorium of State Museum on February 25. Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge) Surendra Patwa will be the Chief Guest and Principal Secretary Culture Manoj Shrivasta will preside over the function.
Commissioner Archeology Anupam Rajan has informed that Dr. Vishnu Shridhar Vakankar National Honour Award is given every year. This honour will be conferred to Prof. Dilip Chakrawarty for the year 2013-14. The award carries a cash reward of Rs. 2 lakh, citation letter and plaque. Prof. Chakrawarty is currently serving as Professor in Cambridge University of U.K. It may be mentioned that this award is given for best work in the field of conservation of archeological heritage and archeological culture.-WTN
