Bhopal: Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra performed bhoomi pujan of the 33/11 power station of Gram Jyoti Yojana installed at a cost of Rs 33 crore 32 lakh near New Collector Bhavan in Datia district. With the installation of the power station, the far flung villages in the district too will now have electricity supply with maximum voltage. Under the Deendayal Gram Jyoti Yojana, one sub station, 16 feeders and 150 majre tolas will be electrified.
Minister Dr. Mishra said that electricity supply should be as per need for domestic use and farming etc. Government has resolved to provide 10-hour electricity supply for the fields and 24-hour supply for domestic use. With this in mind, feeder suppression work is being undertaken. He said that Medical College, Collectorate, Power Station, Fruit and Sabji Mandi will be established in Datia. He issued instructions to install a good quality handpump in place of a power sub-station and to complete the work in the prescribed time limit.-WTN
