Scheme Meant for Board Examination Failed Students
Bhopal: In order to remove inferiority complex of the students who do not clear the 10th and 12th class board examinations of the Board of Secondary Education, a unique scheme “Ruk Jaana Nahin” has been started in the state. An opportunity is given to the students who failed the examinations to study further without losing year through State Open school. A total of 61 thousand 968 students who failed the board examinations in 2016 have passed the examinations of open school. It was felt by the School Education department that students who do not pass the board examinations take serious steps like suicide. Therefore, this important scheme “Ruk Jaana Nahin” has been started.
It may be mentioned that online forms were filled by the students who could not pass the board examinations in June -2016 under the ‘Ruk Jaana Nahin’ scheme. Examinations were conducted by preparing question papers according to the class 10th and 12th syllabus at examination centers made at 51 district headquarters. In the first phase of the examination, 96 thousand 306 students for class 10th and 77 thousand 176 students for class 12th examinations participated. Results of class 12th examination and class 10th examination were declared on July 28 and August 10 respectively. A total of 36 thousand 915 students passed the examinations. Now these students are pursuing further studies.
Second phase of ‘Ruk Jaana Nahin’ held in September- October 2016. Fifty eight thousand 771 students participated in the examinations. Out of these students, 25 thousand 53 students cleared the examinations and have pursued further studies. Moreover, third phase was held was organised in December -2016. Fifty eight thousand 770 students appeared in class 10th and 12th examinations. Result is being declared shortly for the third phase.
Seven day contact programme with students was organised at each district headquarter level before conducting the examinations. Students were encouraged and told to continue studies further during the programme.-WTN
