Unique Initiative for Forest Conservation on Mahashivratri

Bhopal: Taking unique initiative on Mahashivratri, Forest Department has told the devotees gathered at Ancient Shiva Temples located in Southern Forest Circle of Panna that resolution to conserve forest is the real devotion towards the Lord Shiva. Divisional Forest Officer Dr. Anupam Sahay has told the people that as Lord Shiva drank the poison to save the world, in the same manner forest also absorbs poisonous gases and gives clean air to the atmosphere.
Moreover, the forest department celebrating the festival at Choumukha Temple of Saleha, Ganga Jhiriya of Shahnagar circle, Raipura and Mohandra informed the devotees as Lord Shiva had saved the human civilisation from sinking by stopping the violent flow of Ganga by his matted hair similarly forest also protect earth from heavy and low rains. Forest fulfills the requirements of human beings by protecting humans and all the animals.-WTN
