Newspapers Must Give Place to Creative Works Other Than Drawbacks

CM Chouhan Dedicates Vidisha Press Club Restoration Work 

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today dedicated the restoration works of Press Club in Vidisha. State Minister Suryaprakash Meena, MP Lakshminarayan Yadav, Kurwai MLA Veer Singh Pawar, Vidisha Municipal Chairman Mukesh Tandon and District Panchayat President Toran Singh Dangi were also present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that journalists of Vidisha have added to the glory of the press even in adverse conditions. The contribution of photographers also cannot be ignored. He said that creative works also should be given place in newspapers apart from shortcomings. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the good works being undertaken in society should also be published prominently by the media so that others take inspiration from them. Chouhan said that Vidisha Press Club is the state’s first press club where there is stay arrangement for journalists at the district level.
On the demand for a separate colony for journalists, the Chief Minister said that after inspection of a suitable place, arrangements will be made for a residential colony for journalists. He expressed his agreement at giving a place to journalists and their families under the Mukhya Mantri Teerth Darshan Yojana. Earlier senior journalist Brijendra Pandey and Atul Shah also addressed the gathering.

Vidisha Press Club President Bharat Rajput expressed his gratitude to those who have extended their financial assistance in the restoration works of the Press Club.
The Press Club President presented shawls and shreephals to the Chief Minister Chouhan and other guests.

Meeting Hall dedicated

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan dedicated the newly constructed Meeting Hall of Vidisha Nagar Palika.

Kanara Ground Inspected

Chief Minister Chouhan inspected the Kanara ground, he said that the ground should be kept secure for cricket only so that the Ranji Trophy match can be easily organised here in future.

Chouhan advised making use of the land marked separately for Indoor Stadium in Vidisha. Canara Cricket Club Secretary Sandeep Singh Dongar informed about the work undertaken for restoration and pavilion for Kanara ground.-WTN
