Spreading Message of Save Girl Child and Prohibition, Yatra reaches Manawar

Bhopal: 'Namami Devi Narmade'- Seva Yatra today reached Shariqpura via village Semalda to Perkhada in Manawar on its 77th day. Local MLA Smt Ranjana Baghel was leading the yatra with a 'kalash' on her head.
Narmada Yatra is now not limited only to the Narmada rejuvenation but is also spreading message for environment protection, de-addiction, 'save girl child' issues in the social interest. In this regard, Jan Samvad held in the Government Primary School in Shariqpura, focussed on the theme of 'save girl child and de-addiction'.
Girl students of Saraswati Primary School presented a drama on 'save girl child' in which, the father wants to kill his daughter in mother womb and daughter was demanding to come and see the world. Mother says, the world is bad. She says, mother I want to fly in the world and I am a bird, who wants to see the world. MLA Smt Baghel announced Rs 15,000 award on the presentation of the children.
MLA Smt. Baghel underlined need for prohibition. She said that he addiction is the root of destruction. It should be removed from the root. She welcomed the decision of the Chief Minister Chouhan to close down liquor shops nearby Narmada river. She said that the chief minister made several announcements for purification of the Narmada river. They include plantation near the banks, places for cremation, toilets construction, changing rooms for women etc. We should now take pledge for protecting and conserving the river. The MLA planted Ashoka sapling in Shariqpura. Chairman of Child Rights Protection Commission, Raghvendra Sharma also pointed out de-addiction and save girl child. Sarpanch Anil Singh Mujalde, Rameshwar Patidar, Mahendra Patidar and people were present.
