PR Minister Dr. Mishra inaugurates newly constructed Akhara in Datia
Bhopal : Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra inaugurated newly constructed Akhara in the memory of world champion Gama Pahalwan today in Bundela Colony Datia. Public Relations Minister Dr. Mishra said that the Akhara was built at a cost of Rs 1.40 crore.
Thousands can become wrestlers by learning wrestling in this arena. Minister Dr. Mishra said that wrestling of Gama Pahalwan was unique and unmatched.
Minister Dr. Mishra said that Gama Pahalwan brought glory to the country and the state as well. He is known as world champion because he showed a different kind of wrestling. Minister Dr Mishra and vice chairman of MP Text Book Corporation Awadesh Naik feted wrestlers from the district and outside by presenting them shawl and iphal. They also enjoyed wrestling.
District Panchayat vice president Vinay Yadav, Municipality Chairman Subhash Agrawal, Vice Chairman Yogesh Saxena and other public representatives were present.WTN
