Corrupts and Dishonest Will Not Be Spared CM Chouhan’s Address at Antodaya-Beneficiaries’ Convention in Umaria

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh said that Adivasi Adhikar Yatra on the lines of “Namami Devi Narmade” Seva Yatra will be taken out and encroachment on their land will be removed. He said that houses will be provided to the houseless persons. Amount will be deposited in their bank accounts directly, no corruption and dishonesty will be tolerated in this. Chouhan was addressing the Antodaya Mela and Beneficiaries’ Convention at Umaria today. He said that Deendayal Thali Rasoi will be started in state in which a full meal at the rate of Rs. 5 will be provided to the poor.

CM Chouhan announced for construction of Birsa Munda Chouraha (Square), conversion of Man Bharan road into C.C. Road at a cost of about Rs. 6 crore, stadium at Chandiya, higher secondary school building, Rs. 12 crore for construction of houses for poor in Chandia, Rs. 18 crore for potable water scheme and Rs. 50 crore towards construction of houses in Umaria town. Chouhan distributed benefits worth Rs. 97 crore 75 lakh to over 20 thousand beneficiaries on the occasion.

Chouhan said that a piece of land and amount for construction of house will be provided to each poor. Land will be purchased in case of non-availability of government land to provide it to the poor.

Moreover, Chouhan said that an amount of Rs. One crore 25 lakh for the art gallery of tribal artists in Tala and Umaria will be provided. He also made announcements towards allotment of Rs. 4 crore for development of new industrial area and to conduct Livelihood Mission in all the blocks.

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection, Labour and Minister Incharge of the District Omprakash Dhurve, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Independent Charge) Sanjay Pathak, MLA Smt. Meena Singh, President Nagar Palika Smt. Kanchan Khattar, President Nagar Palika Chandiya Smt. Saraswati Manjhi, Vice President Rajendra Kaul, President Janpad Karkeli Smt. Kusum Singh and villagers in large number were present on the occasion.

CM Lauds Prasadam Initiative under Anandam Programme

Chief Minister Chouhan lauded the Prasadam initiative being started in district hospital campus under the Anandam programme in Umaria. He said that this is a unique initiative, where attendants of patients, rickshaw drivers, handcart pullers and around 250 other poor of town are being served free full meal daily.

Inspected Tribal Mural Paintings

Natural beauty of the district, cultural activities and tribal arts are giving liveliness to the walls of the town. A programme to paint all the main walls with tribal paintings is underway with the cooperation of citizens. CM Chouhan inspected the paintings made by tribal focusing folk culture in Umaria. He said that people will get introduced with tribal art and beauty of city will enhance. Known artists of Baiga and tribal community have made the mural paintings focusing tribal art and culture on both the sides of the boundary walls of the road from Jai Stambh Chowk of city to Court tiraha.-WTN
