Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that pension will be provided to all those widows of the state who are not in employment. He said that there will be no restriction of poverty line in pension distribution. Chouhan informed that not a single student will be deprived of education due to paucity of funds. He said that a provision of Rs. 500 crore has been made in the budget for costly courses like Engineering, Medical, I.I.T., I.I.M. for students of poor families. Chouhan was addressing the Antaodaya Mela and Beneficiaries’ Convention at Nourajabad of Umaria district today.

He further said that the year 2017 will be observed as Poor Welfare Year. Chouhan said that his government is pro poor government. The state government will give top priority to the welfare works of poor this year. I will not let a single drop of tears come out from poor’s eyes. I was always with them in their happiness and sorrow and will remain like this in future too.

Chief Minister Chouhan further mentioned that permanent lease deeds (Pattas) are being given to 1500 families who are dwelling in Nourajabad town. A sum of Rs. 18 crore has been provided to eliminate potable water problem of Nourajabad town. Furthermore, Chouhan said that 200 houses will be constructed for poor families of Nourajabad Municipality area. An amount of Rs. 10 crore has been provided toward this.
CM Chouhan distributed benefits worth Rs. 76 crore 81 lakh to 17 thousand 743 beneficiaries in the Antodaya Mela. He also dedicated construction works costing around Rs. 82 crore and performed bhoomi-poojan of various works.
Minister Incharge Omprakash Dhurve, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Independent Charge) Sanjay Pathak, President Nourajabad Municipality Smt. Suman Gotiya, beneficiaries in large number and citizens were present in the convention.-WTN
