Benefits Around Rs. 89 Crore Distributed Under Employees State Insurance Act 1948

Bhopal: Information regarding benefits under Employees State Insurance Act 1948 was given in Mantralaya. Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh said that all the departments must ensure providing benefits of the Act to their employees. Get the eligible employees registered immediately, he added.
It was informed that Act has been implemented completely in 22 districts and district headquarters of 29 districts. An amount of Rs. 34 crore 47 lakh has been paid against disease benefits. Moreover, a sum of Rs. 58 crore 52 lakh under permanent disability, Rs. 3 crore 79 lakh against temporary disability, Rs. 3 lakh 75 thousand against maternity benefit and Rs. 9 lakh 28 thousand under prolong illness have been paid.
Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development R.S. Julaniya, Additional Chief Secretary Home K.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Energy Iqbal Singh Bains, Additional Chief Secretary Jail Vinod Semval, Additional Chief Secretary Labour B.R. Naidu, Principal Secretary Technical Education Smt. Kalpana Shrivastava, Secretary to CM Hariranjan Rao and concerned officers were present on the occasion.-WTN
