Bhopal: Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that a lesson based on the life of Sant Ravidas will be included in school curriculum. An amount of Rs. 50 thousand crore will be spent in the next three years for the development and welfare of scheduled caste. CM Mr. Chouhan was addressing the Sant Ravidas Mahkumbh at Sagar today.
CM Mr. Chouhan said that a provision of Rs. 16 thousand 381 crore has been made in the budget of this year for the welfare of scheduled caste. He informed that 5 lakh houses in urban areas and 10 lakh houses in rural areas will be constructed and provided to the poor in the next two years. Forty thousand houses in Sagar district will be constructed this year. Mr. Chouhan mentioned that a piece of land for house construction or house will be provided to each resident of Madhya Pradesh. He further mentioned that the state government has made sufficient arrangements for education of students of scheduled caste category. Scholarships are being given, hostels and ashrams have been constructed for the students.
Tution fee is being borne by the state government for pursuing studies abroad. He said that no student of scheduled caste category will be deprived of education due to paucity of money. He informed that Gyanodaya schools have been opened in 10 divisions. Accommodation facility will be arranged by the state government on getting admissions in U.P.S.C. coaching classes in New Delhi.
