Bhopal: Citizens, social organizations and representatives from various sections of the society reached the residence of Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan in a large number to greet him on his birthday. They extended their best wishes for his healthy, long and a glorious life.
 
Mr. Chouhan celebrated his birthday in a most simple manner in the form of a Chief Minister of the common man and accepted everyone’s wishes modestly. He began his day with puja-archana. Birthday wishes started pouring in since morning and the process went on until the afternoon.
The Chief Minister took part in the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay blood donation camp. The Chief Minister’s birthday was celebrated as “Seva Divas” (Service Day) in which the youth donated blood to the needy. He said that serving the humanity was the biggest fortune.

On this occasion Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Sitasaran Sharma, Deputy Speaker Mr. Rajendra Singh, Ministers SarvaMr. Mr. Rustom Singh, Mr. Antar Singh Arya, Mr. Omprakash Dhurve, Mr. Rampal Singh, Mr. Lal Singh Arya, Mr. Vishwas Sarang, Smt. Lalita Yadav, Mayor Mr. Alok Sharma, MP and BJP president Mr. Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan greeted CM Mr. Chouhan. Among others present were Rajya Bhandar Griha Nigam Chairman Mr. Rajendra Singh Rajput, Nagar Nigam Chairman Mr. Surjit Singh Chouhan, Chief Secretary Mr. B.P. Singh, Director General of Police Mr. Rishi Kumar Shukla, former Director General of Police Mr. Surendra Singh, former Chief Secretary Mr. Antony deSa and other elite citizens from the capital, state and other districts.
Seva Samman to Safaikarmis
Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan took part in the Swachchata Seva Samman of the Valmiki and Sudarshan Samaj. Mayor Mr. Alok Sharma said on the occasion that the Chief Minister has become a symbol of development and service. He has developed an ideology of service. He said that citizens are actively taking part in the Cleanliness Survey 2017 of Government of India. Last year the State acquired the 21st position. This year the state would go higher. The Chief Minister honoured the families who supported in keeping the city clean.

The Valmiki Samaj adorned the Chief Minister with a silver crown while the Sudarshan Samaj honoured him with a Sudarshan Chakra. Replying to the honour, the Chief Minister said that if the Valmiki Samaj stopped working, the city would turn into a garbage heap. Returning the silver crown to the Samaj he said that they should make ornaments out of the crown and distribute to the poor girls. He said that the poor would be given houses to live in. Kaamgar Vitta Ayog will be constituted for the welfare of kaamgars. The Safai Kaamgar Ayog was already working. The Chief Minister and his wife Smt. Sadhana Singh organized a lunch for the safai kaamgars and joined them for lunch. He went to Mata Mandir to offer prayers. State BJP president Mr. Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan said that Shivraj Ji had changed the stream of politics. Mr. Ratan Jha of Valmiki Samaj read out the citation letter.

MP Mr. Alok Sanjar, MP Mr. Manohar Untwal, State Minister for Cooperatives Mr. Vishwas Sarang, MLA Mr. Surendra Nath Singh, Smt. Sadhana Singh, former Mayor Smt. Krishna Gaur and local citizens were present in a large number.-WTN
