Smt Scindia at concluding function of 55th MP Police Sports Competition

Trainers of sports department can impart training to players of police
Women's participation should be more in sports for woman empowerment

Bhopal: Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Smt Yashodhara Raje Scindia concluded the 55th State Level Annual Sports Competition 2016 of Madhya Pradesh police. She said that proud is felt seeing performance of disciplined and skilled police players.
Seeing them, we also feel that there is no dearth of ability in sports in state. Trainers of sports department can impart training to players of Police Department to groom their sports talent. Smt Scindia said that participation of women should be increased in sports for woman empowerment.

Director General of Police Mr. Rishi Kumar Shukla said that winners of this annual sports event will participate in All India Police Sports Meet to represent Madhya Pradesh. He said that brotherhood feeling has increased in players in the event held for six days. Encouraging players, Mr. Shukla said that players of Madhya Pradesh Police would also perform better in the future.

 Players of eight zones participated in the sports competition held in Lal Parade Ground police stadium. Football, volley ball, handball, basketball, hockey, athletics, Kabaddi, weight-lifting, judo and boxing were included in the competition.
 Sports and Youth Welfare Minister distributed medals and trophies to winners of the competition in the valedictory function. DGP Mr. Shukla presented memento to Sports Minister Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia.-WTN
