Villages of Maheshwar and Badwah Resonated with ‘Har-Har Narmade’ SlogansImmense Enthusiasm in Villages for Yatra

Bhopal: ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ Seva Yatra set out at the initiative of the Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan to conserve pride of Madhya Pradesh sacred river Maa Narmada is getting immense public repsonse at all places. Narmada seva yatra was set out today with slogans glorifying Maa Narmada from village Gangatkhedi of Maheshwaar block after perfoming Maa Narmada’s aarti and poojan of kalash and flag. Villagers accorded warm welcome to the yatris and took resolution that they will not pollute Maa Narmada.

MLA Mr. Rajkumar Mev and Chairman Scheduled Caste Commisssion Mr. Bhupendra Arya addressing Jan-Sanvad programme held ta Gangatkhedi termed Maa Narmada as the milestone in the development of Madhya Pradesh. It is clearly evident from the Narmada Yatra that the villagers are now understand that Narmada river has played an importanmt role for strengthening the economy and development of villages. An elder person of the village Mr. Kishanlal said that he had never ever witnessed such spirit and enthusiasm for conservation of Narmada river in 65 years. Narmada river is being utlised by people since long but spirit to conserve Narmada river and development is infused by the Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Villagers in one voice said that they will maintain the atmosphere of faith, devotion and conservation in the years to come created towards the Narmada River.

Yatra was accorded grand welcome at village Batholi. Moreover, yatra was welcomed with flowers showering on reaching village Baddiya Surta. Women and girls welcomed yatra with kalash. Jan-Sanvad programme was strated with Narmada kalash and flag poojan besides kanya poojan. MLA Mr. Mev administered pledge to the villagers present in large number to keep Maa Narmada free from pollution. He announced cash reward of Rs. 11 thousand from his discretionary fund for the girls who presented Narmadashtak.

Mr. Bhupendra Arya informed that Maa Narmada conservation campaign is transformed into a people’s movement now. Public participation is increasing day by day. We should prevent things which are polluting Maa Narmada. Society is also in accord with this. Maa Narmada must be made pollution free to maintain its sanctity. Members of Core Group Mr. Sushil Barwa, Mr. Harisingh Chawda and Mr. Vinod Bhai beside others adressing the Jan-Sanvad programmes gave information on importance of organic farming. On reaching Hamirpura village, yatra was welcomed with flower showering and aarti and kalsh poojan. After proceeding from village of Maheshwar block, yatra reached its night halt place Ramgarh covering vilage Ratanpur, Semrala, Muralla and Belsar of Badgaon block. Yatra was accorded welcome at these villages and pledge was adminsitered to the villagers to make Narmada free from pollution.

Penaz Masani to Participate in Seva Yatra

Smt. Penaz masani will also participate in Narmada Seva Yatra. She will take part in a programme scheduled to be held at Navghatkhedi on Tuesday. She will take night halt at Indore.-WTN
