Two new departments soon in Makhanlal University

Bhopal: Two new departments of Study of Language Sciences Department and Department of Cultural Studies will soon be established in the Makhanlal Chaturvedi University of Journalism and Communication. An approval in this regard was given at the meeting of Management Committee of the University which was presided over by the Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Construction of Rewa and Khandwa premises of the University was also approved during the meeting. Nearly Rs 120 crores would be incurred on the construction of both premises. Three scholarships each will be given for research on various subjects in both the new departments. Finance Minister Mr. Jayant Malaiyya, Vice-Chancellor Mr. B.K Kuthiyala, Management Committee member Mr. Umesh Upadhyay, Principal Secretary Public Relations Mr. S.K. Mishra and Rector Mr. Lajpat Ahuja were also present on the occasion.-WTN
