CM Mr. Chouhan honours Women in ‘Narayani Nama’ Programme

Widows Will Be Called “Kalyani” in M.P.

Bhopal: Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that condition of BPL will not be imposed for sanctioning pension to the widows in the state. They will be addressed with the name ‘Kalyani’. Moreover beside giving priority to the welfare schemes of the state, their energy and power will be utilized for betterment of others and state’s welfare. Mr. Chouhan was addressing the “Narayani Nama” programme here today. Ten women who have achieved positions despite adverse conditions of life and 3 women officers were honoured on the occasion.

CM Mr. Chouhan said that women have showed that they are not distressed but now empowered by facing challenges successfully. They do not lack in intelligence, commitment and devotion. They can illuminate the lives of others if they get opportunity. He informed that efforts are being made to eliminate discrimination faced by them. Girls are not burden of the families. Several schemes have been prepared for their empowerment. Mr. Chouhan further mentioned that the state government will forward a draft to give capital punishment to the culprits involved in heinous crimes with girls to the President of India .
Mr. Chouhan honoured Gulabo Bai of Dhar district, Tabassum of Mandla, Mankunwar of Dewas, Fatima and Poonam Shroti of Bhopal, Daya of Badwani, Dr. Sneh chowdhary of Katni, Tijobai of Jhabua, Disha Tiwari of Indore and Shaili Dubey of Jabalpur district beside I.A.S. Smt. Kalpana Mr.vastava, Police Officer Irmin Shah and Shraddha Tiwari.

First beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan, Ladli Laxmi, Tejasvini schemes and a group of girls met the Chief Minister in the programme. Girls submitted memorandum to give capital punishment to the culprits engaged in heinous crimes with women.

Maya Singh, Minister of State for General Administration Mr. Lal Singh Arya, Minister of State for Backward Class and Minority Welfare Smt.
