Chief Secretary reviews preparations of precautionary measures against Corona Virus

Bhopal 3 March 2020: Chief Secretary Sudhi Rajan Mohanty reviewed the measures taken for prevention of Corona Virus in the state through video conferencing. He directed the collectors to ensure medical checkup of passengers coming from abroad, especially from China. While forming the team of doctors, their specialization must be considered. Availability of OPD in medical colleges should be ensured. Availability of medical kits 24x7 should be ensured. Mohanty directed district collectors to organize media workshop for awareness.

Principal Secretary Public Health Pallavi Jain Govil informed about the preparations and precautionary measures of Corona Virus. She informed that there is a system of screening at the airport to check the passengers coming from China. An alert has been issued in Madhya Pradesh regarding Corona Virus disease and travelers coming from other parts of China are being isolated at home and samples are being taken in case of symptoms. He said that total 420 persons have been identified in the state of which 66 are being monitored. A helpline toll free number 104 has been set up for information at the state level.
