SEC Mr. Parshuram issues directions to Deputy District Election Officers

Bhopal: State Election Commissioner Mr. R. Parshuram said that the officials engaged in election work should always follow the 'Review, Repair and Prepare' mantra. Mr. Parshuram was addressing a meeting of Deputy District Election Officers and nodal officers in connection with general elections in city units situated in the scheduled area.

Mr. Parshuram said that for the first time, Multi Post EVM will be used in the elections to be held in the coming months in 53 city units of the scheduled areas. He said that GIS will be used in preparing the voters list. Voters will be identified through Aadhar. The Commission's app will be mostly used. The State Election Commissioner said that special attention should be paid to gender ratio while voters list is prepared. No voter's name must be missed in the list. The online system set up by the Commission should be used properly. The Commisssioner released a book and a poster related to the 'online system' at the meeting. A representative film of the Commission was also screened during the meeting.

Secretary State Election Commission Smt. Sunita Tripathi said that the work of revision of the voters list should be completed within time limit. There must be transparency in all preparations related to elections in accordance with the instructions of the Commission.

Deputy Secretary Mr. Deepak Saxena gave information related to IPMS, IEMS and EVM. Deputy Secretary Mr. Girish Sharma informed about the voters' list prepartions, online registration, Aadhar seeding, GIS and Code of Conduct.-WTN
